About Pamela and Kenneth Fong
Pamela Fong, O.D., practiced Optometry in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and North Carolina for many years. She is one of the founders of Clontech Labs, Inc. in Palo Alto. Dr. Fong received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from San Francisco State University and Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley. She was the recipient of the "Alumnus of the Year" Award for 2001 from UC Berkeley's School of Optometry. Dr. Fong is a trustee of the University of California Berkeley Foundation, served on the Board of Vision New America, and has been an Advisory Board member of the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, D.C.
Kenneth Fong, Ph.D., is the Chairman of Kenson Ventures, LLC. Kenson specializes in venture financing and strategic consulting to biotech companies. Prior to founding Kenson, Dr. Fong was the founder and CEO of Clontech Laboratories, a leader in the molecular/cell biology market. Dr. Fong obtained his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Indiana University. He is a trustee of the California State University System and a trustee of the University of California San Francisco Foundation.
