All international visiting scholars on the UC Berkeley campus are required to have health insurance for themselves and all accompanying dependents. International visiting scholars who plan to arrive with their own insurance plan must have the insurer fill out a Certificate of Health Insurance Coverage before departing for the United States. This health coverage needs to meet the requirements established by UC Berkeley and the US Department of State. Please note that the insurance plan must parallel visiting dates.
