• A grant from the Koret Foundation for Korean studies courses and graduate student fellowship
• A grant from the Korea Foundation for conferences, publication and K-12 outreach project
• A grant by the Daesan Foundation for Writer-in-Resident Program from Fall 2006-2008
• A research grant from the International Communication Foundation
• A grant from the Korean Literature Translation Institute for the international poetry reading: "Speak Pacific" with American and Korean poets (R. Hass, J. Rothenberg, B. Hillman, G. Lakoff, R. Silberg, J. Rogow, S.Y. Oh, Chung-Hee Moon, et al.)
• A grant from the Korea Foundation for the publication of the late Prof. Marnie Dilling's book by the IEAS Monograph Series, 2006
