Research Interests: Participatory design of health and social programs and policies, "design science" methods for community engagement and research, health communication strategies for low-literacy and low-English proficient populations, design and evaluation of health services for diverse populations. Currently, UC Berkeley principal investigator of a project in Changzhou, China that engages migrant factory workers to identify work and daily life issues and to co-develop interventions to address them.
