2009 Summer Workshop

The Berkeley K-16 Bridge: Improving Teacher Effectiveness in Foreign Language (Mandarin) Classrooms will provide enrichment training for both experienced and new teachers of Mandarin language from California middle school, high school and the University on the use of multimedia techniques currently being used at Berkeley (for placement, assessment and distance learning), curriculum standards, evaluation and best practices for classroom pedagogy. Teachers will also create a resource of teacher materials that includes examples of best practices. The program is funded by The National Foreign Language Center and sponored by The National Center for K-16 Chinese Language Pedagogy, University of California, Berkeley.
