The Centers for Chinese Studies (CCS), Japanese Studies (CJS) and Korean Studies (CKS) and the Institute of East Asian Studies (IEAS) announce their 2006-07 fellowship competitions for continuing graduate students in East Asian studies. A combined total of approximately $175,000 is available to graduate students who propose a coherent plan of research/study that will result in tangible progress towards their graduate degree. Students whose research focuses on a single country should apply to the appropriate center, while those with a comparative or transnational research focus should apply to the Institute. Applications for all four competitions are due Monday, April 3, 2006. Awards will be announced in mid to late April.
