The Centers for Chinese Studies (CCS), Japanese Studies (CJS) and Korean Studies (CKS) and the Institute of East Asian Studies (IEAS) announce their 2006-07 fellowship competitions for continuing graduate students in East Asian studies. A combined total of approximately $175,000 is available to graduate students who propose a coherent plan of research/study that will result in tangible progress towards their graduate degree. Students whose research focuses on a single country should apply to the appropriate center, while those with a comparative or transnational research focus should apply to the Institute. Please refer to the individual competition criteria for additional details.
Applications for all four competitions are due Monday, April 3, 2006. Awards will be announced in mid to late April.
