My classwork and research, which will prospectively focus on German and Japanese literature and philosophy of the interwar period, have benefitted from the support of an Incoming Student Fellowship and a Continuing Student Fellowship. A Conference Travel Grant allowed me to pursue my additional interest in Japanese film by funding a trip to the Kinema Club conference, where I presented a paper on CGI in recent science-fiction films and learned a lot interacting with leading Japanese film studies scholars.
