I am so grateful to the Center for Korean Studies for providing me with funding to study the language intensively during several summers, present my research at various conferences, and connect with visiting scholars. Thanks to the Center's generous financial support, not only did my Korean proficiency improve tremendously, but I also fell in love with Korean culture. The knowledge I gained from the larger CKS academic community will be tremendously constructive for my future research and academic career.
