Bio/CV: 

Khenpo Yeshi is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies at UC Berkeley. He received his B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of California, Berkeley (2012), and his M.A. in South and Southeast Asian Studies from the same institution (2017). Currently, he is completing his dissertation on the early development of the Dzogchen Heart Essence tradition. His research delves into various early Tibetan texts, including Dunhuang manuscripts from the tenth century, writings of Nubchen Sangye Yeshe from the late ninth to early tenth century, and the Seventeen Tantras from the tenth to twelfth century. His primary focus is on the theory and practice of these texts, as well as broader issues concerning Dzogchen's relation to other Tibetan traditions and beyond.
