PUBLISHING
IEAS supports a nonprofit academic publications program, publishing two or three books on East Asia annually. We sell both softcover books and PDF e-books to individuals, and our titles are available online to libraries. Submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous review process, and those selected for publication are often reviewed in journals.

GRANT WRITING
Every four years, IEAS and its centers undertake the herculean task of submitting National Resource Center and Foreign Language and Area Studies Title VI grant applications to the Department of Education. This process gives us the opportunity to reflect on our work, and to look ahead and consider what additional programs and languages we would like to support in the teaching and research units.
In 2023, CSEAS was thrilled to receive a major grant from the Henry Luce Foundation for the three-year project, Southeast Asian Lives and Histories, on doing oral history and life biography projects.
