Call for Proposals: Emeritus Faculty and Staff Research Support Grants- Institute of East Asian Studies

The new Emeritus Faculty and Staff Research Support Grants program at the Institute of East Asian Studies provides Emeritus faculty, current staff members, and retired academic staff members with $1,000 grants to attend academic conferences in East and Southeast Asian studies-- to present their work, participate in academic panels or engage in other related activity. The intention is to support continuous engagement in the field.

Each award is for a maximum of $1,000. Five awards will be made for 2024-25 on a rolling (first-come, first-served) basis.

Application Instructions

Emeritus faculty, current staff, and retired academic staff members should submit the following materials to IEAS:

        1)    A brief narrative about their research project, along with applicant contact

               information.

        2)    Proof of invitation to, registration for, and/or acceptance of the academic

               conference or workshop, and a simple budget.

        3)     A 2-page CV.

Successful applicants will be required to submit a brief report to IEAS after the conference, and to acknowledge support of the Institute of East Asian Studies in any resulting publications.
