CCS Graduate Student Ad Hoc Travel Grants
Graduate students who plan short-term travel to present a paper at a conference, are invited to apply for an Ad Hoc Travel Grant to help pay for some portion of their travel expenses. Applications should be submitted to ccs@berkeley.edu at least 30 days in advance, and should include a brief proposal, a budget and proof of paper acceptance.
Note: All graduate students are eligible for two conference grants from the Graduate Division. Please make sure that you use up your funding at the Graduate Division before applying to CCS. Please click here for detailed information.

Dr. and Mrs. James C.Y. Soong Fellowship
The Dr. and Mrs. James C.Y. Soong Fellowship provides financial support for graduate students from Taiwan who are enrolled full-time at the University of California, Berkeley, in any field of study.Students must meet the following qualifications:
- Have graduated from a fully accredited, 4-year college or university in Taiwan, with a GPA of 3.7 (A-) or higher
- Be a citizen of the Republic of China and have lived in Taiwan consecutively for at least ten years
- Have demonstrated financial need in pursuit of advanced degrees
- Be registered at Berkeley (home campus). The fellowship may be renewed one time.

Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch Fellowship
Administered by the ASUC and funded by the F.Y.Chang Foundation, the Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch Fellowship is a prestigious two-year pilot project to support undergraduate students' independent research in International Relations and East Asian Studies at UC Berkeley.
The Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch Fellowship comprises two distinct programs: the "Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch Fellow of Political Science '' and the "Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch Fellow of East Asian Studies," each provides one fellow with $2,000 of funding. The Fellowship program aims to provide interested students, especially those of AAPI heritage, with financial support to conduct academic research focused on political/social/cultural/economic aspects of East Asia.
