The purpose of this organization is to increase the awareness and knowledge of Korean culture, history, and issues to the students of the University of California, Berkeley and its surrounding communities. The organization was established in 1986 as an attempt to create a modern Korean history course at UC Berkeley. The organization focuses on studying and examining Korean and Korean-American history in addition to actively researching various political issues and engaging in political activities around campus. General meetings are typically formatted as beginning with a presentation on a chosen topic following by a debate/seminar for discussion.

Welcome to Berkeley's Korean Rock Band Ra-On's official page!!
We are Ra-On, the only Korean band on campus, established in 2006! We are a group of musically inclined students who are looking for a time to spend on music as a group. Our purpose is to bring performing arts of Korean culture mainly through - but not pertaining to - rock music, which is know for its difficulty of access for Koreans in the American culture. Our project every semester is to hold a two-hour concert at the end, right before dead week starts. We perform both Korean and English cover songs, write original music, and film our practices to advertise our genre, not only to the Korean community, but to all, diverse groups forming Berkeley.
