About the Program

Welcome to the UC Berkeley Center for Korean Studies' (CKS) Visiting Scholar Program. CKS invites applications from scholars who wish to conduct research relevant to the Center's associated faculty and who can participate in and contribute to the broader Korean Studies community at UC Berkeley. Scholars generally remain at the Center for six months to a year, with the possibility of extension on a case by case basis. Scholars are expected to remain in residence during their entire affiliation period and participate regularly in CKS colloquia, conferences, and other events in addition to completing the research project they originally proposed. Potential applicants and current scholars can find detailed information regarding the application process, affiliation requirements, and services and research support provided by CKS through the menu below.
