About the Program
Welcome to the UC Berkeley Center for Korean Studies' (CKS) Visiting Scholar Program. CKS invites applications from scholars who wish to conduct research relevant to the Center's associated faculty and who can participate in and contribute to the broader Korean Studies community at UC Berkeley. Scholars generally remain at the Center for six months to a year, with the possibility of extension on a case by case basis. Scholars are expected to remain in residence during their entire affiliation period and participate regularly in CKS colloquia, conferences, and other events in addition to completing the research project they originally proposed. It is possible for our program to reach capacity before the listed deadline. Please apply early to ensure considertion. In the event that capacity for a given semester is reached, we will note this on our website and stop accepting new applications.
